A great war has rendered the surface world into a nearly inhospitable environment. The surviving groups of men scavenge the land, constantly in violent conflict for resources.
Hidden under a desolate mountain lies a secret subterranean city were people have found a sustainable lifestyle in peace. They live in great fear of the surface world and take special precaution to hide their presence.
In this scene Light from the outside world is reflected down from small openings into a complex system of mirrored towers. This helps Gram's grow her garden.
