Dont look Behind you by asunnyspirit Dont look Behind you by asunnyspirit
A picture for my english class, we had to draw a monster belive it or not
Its basically a kinda monster in the mirror
Simply ink

I promise to upload a nicer scan later (this one is alittle crummy b/c i used my digital camera)

*edit* I cropped it down so the composition looks nicer but im still hating the scan so hopefully i wont forget....

your style is so very Burtonesque. so cool

You should most definitely get a scanner. I think this would be a little more accessible to the eye if the resolution was better and would do the artwork itself a lot more justice. Great piece though.

well done. fresh style. i dig the line work. and the roughness.
would be interesting to see a re-done piece of this though if you're keen

very nicely done...I like the way it moves. And the monster is kinda cute in a completely freakish way.

The concept is amazing though...so simply put. We are our own worst fear, enemy, and/or monster.

I really like it, it reminds me of nightmare before christmas, or beetlejuice. I think the only criticism I can offer is to get a better scan even though this one isn't that bad.

I don't think you should scan it. That yellowy-green tint makes the picture that much better for me. (unless it was done on yellowy-green paper ^^; )

Yeah, my inspiration was actually Tim Burton (obvious in the stripes) and the character designs were inspired by JTHM.
Normally i perfer more realistic pieces but i didnt have time to make considering this was due the next day :P
hehe but cartoons are still fun

Hmmm...very pretty, reminds me of Tim Burton. I think it`s one of your best works so far, the atmosphere and concept are great and (even though it really doesn`t look like ink) your shading turned out good too. ;)

Very creepy in a tim burton kind of way.

It doesn't look like just ink either, I though some of it was charcoal, very nice :)
